The absolute is obtained from lavender concrete. The absolute is yellow-green (dark-green), clean, viscose liquid with typical scent of lavender.
The absolute contains esters (like lynalil acetate) 30%-50%. It is completely soluble in ethanol.
The absolute also contains components of the oil but the relative content of hydrocarbons, cineol, colorants and ingredients which are soluble in ethanol is reduced.
The absolute is used in cosmetics and perfumery.
